Degrowth Institute is hosting several events this summer (June 18-21, 2026) in Oberlin, Ohio, surrounding the US Society for Ecological Economics (USSEE) 2026 Conference at Oberlin College.

• On June 18th, we will host a full-day Degrowth Assembly, with participatory workshops focused on movement-building, power mapping and strategic planning. The Assembly is open to the general public, and USSEE Conference attendees may come for free!

• In the evening of June 18th, we’ll host an informal “degrowth soirée” following the opening reception to the USSEE Conference, featuring music and dancing.

• From June 19th-21st, during the USSEE Conference, DGI is hosting or co-hosting multiple degrowth sessions as part of the conference programming.
